The dimension of this battery is the same as the BPS S-2,4 Ah NiCd battery (LxBxH 120x55x52 mm).

Only the BPS C-1,3 Ah NiCd battery is less high (42 mm) and 200 gram lighter, you can see the difference of 10 mm on the pictures.

I find the difference in battery-weight a lot compared to the total weight of the C12.
And the mobility of the C12 is much better with the smaller battery. But of course it's all very personal.

How do you mean very big?
Together with the T12/15 drills it's one of the smallest drills available (no impact versions).
Look at the (bad) picture where the C12 is compared with ordinary drills.

The dimensions of the C12 without the Centrotec chunk is 135x217 mm.

I have purchased several of the C12s for my electricians. Came with the small 1.3 NiCd batteries and I also got a few of the NiMH batteries to have more run time. The guys much prefer the small light NiCd and unlike any other companies NiCd batteries, these things hold a charge for a very long time without discharging.
