I just received today the accessory systainer i ordered for my Carvex (fantastic tool btw), now i think something is missing but i'm not certain.
Isn't there supposed to be some kind of "pin" to lock to the circle cutting compass in a hole? As is explained in the Carvex manual. I cannot find pictures of the full content, and theres not the usual content picture on the systainer lid interior.
Well if it is supposed to be there then it is missing, and what should i do?

As a side note, last week i received the centrotec installer kit from another dealer, and there was also a part missing, the long bit holder, i mailed the dealer about it and got no response.

Tim,

It's stored in the circle cutter itself. You can see it barely in the back of this image, it's the green bit on the far right.

Edit: I should have mentioned to contact Festool Belgium about the missing part in your Centrotec Kit, and for this product if it's indeed missing.

Thanks Shane, i will look tomorrow if it's there. Seeing it so small on that on that picture i can imagine i have overlooked it.
btw, i bought both kits in Germany because accessories are like 30% cheaper than here, but i still buy my tools at the local dealer.

Hi Tim,
Snapped a couple of pics of mine if they are of help?
Excuse the quality...
Compass pin as you can see just slides in and out of  the hole provided in the actual plastic body.

little update, the dealer(Klaus Zeibig) that shipped me the installer set with a missing part has sent me the new part without asking any questions, very good service.
The other dealer who sent me the Carvex accessory set with a missing pin has replied that it needed to look under the insert and in the box, and that he personally packed it so everything has to be there. Even though it was the first thing i did when realizing something was missing, i did it again and found nothing.

Can someone tell me how tight or loose that pin sits in the circle jig? is it possible that it can fall out during shipping?

Unless there was a hole in your systainer - no.

Tim,

That pin fits pretty tightly in the store position within the jig as the first picture I posted shows. I couldn't imagine that coming out of there
on it's own accord.
Unless someone , somewhere went into the Sys before shipping and "borrowed" it (cough).........

It's just too much of a snug fit.

Mat.

thanks guys, they are going to send me a new pin, though i have the impression they don't believe me. The guy said he is 100% certain it was there when he packed it, while you guys all say it cannot come loose on it's own. Well anyway it wasn't on the jig, nor in the systainer..
