The following statement is in the product description provided by Festool     http://festools-online.com/festool-tools-1/festool-drills/festool-drills/564274-festool-cxs-cordless-drill-set.html

5. Festool Brushless Motor Technology. Brushless motors offer significant advantages over motors with brushes, including higher efficiency and reliability, reduced noise, and longer service life to name a few. This means Festool cordless drills outperform other drills that would otherwise be in the same class.

I this an oversight or does the CXS have a brushless motor?

It seems someone just used the same description for the CXS as the full sized drills.  Here's a link to the Festool USA site, CXS set.  That link is for the CXS set, that includes the right angle chuck.

Sorry I didn't respond to this sooner but I took a few days off from work and have been absent from the forum.

The information on Beaver Tools website, festools-online.com, that you referenced was copied from our cordless drill site. It's a list of the top ten reasons to buy a Festool drill and there's a footnote to that list that states that features vary by model and to see individual models for specifications.

Sorry for any confusion or if it was misleading. We will be in touch with them to get their site corrected since that doesn't apply to the CXS. But I'm sure it was an honest mistake.

Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Edit: Sorry, the second part of your question... the following items on that page also do not pertain to the CXS: it has a mechanical clutch rather than electronic and no battery fuel gauge.

Thank you for clearing that up. I have accumulated a few Festools and am very pleased thus far.
