Got one yesterday in the post. What is it for? Looks like a bank card but I'm pretty sure I can't buy anything with it  Wink

Hi

On the website you can also check your "Tool Points" balance. Remember to use your points before they expire. Good for accessories or part payment on new tools.

Do the toolpoints still work in Sweden? In Belgium they don't apparently, from what i know it's been dropped because it basically an illegal practice.
About the ID card, when i started with Festool i bought 3 tools in a short period, after which i got 3 different cards, and later when i started my business i got another card. I have it in my wallet but i have never been asked it.

Hi!

I went to my local dealer and placed an order that's going to be part payed with tool points. He was going to check the routines for using them. He said Festool used to send checks/vouchers before but not any more. I'll keep you updated.

 Cool

Hi

Ok, so my retailer said I still need a check to use the points. The check will be sent out in February the following year after you have achieved more than 150 points. If you got less than 150 points they will be transferred to the next year. Guess I have to pay for my order in full this time.  Undecided

Lucky you - at least you get something for the point thingy - they are void in Finland. I did get a card though but as far as I can tell it's just for the customer number reference and I think it said something about having to present it when taking Festools in for repair.

I had my C12 in for a repair (jitter on the trigger) but didn't have to show my card. I guess it was because I got it in their store. Anyway, that was a good service. Got it repaired on the warranty 4,5 years after I got it.  Smile
