HI,

I am an old member and also I am a photographer.
I am planning to have a photo shoot with a model and my studio and I want to use my own tools as props.  Is there any problem showing the festool brand on this pictures?
The pictures will be posted in several sites.
If there is a problem, will it be enough to hide the brand on the pictures? like I said those tools are mine not borrowed.

Let me know

Thanks,

Fidel

I don't see a problem with that.

You can't do that. Festool doesn't take kindly to free advertising.  Wink

I suppose that depends on the worksite.  I'd guess they might be very welcome on some construction sites. Tongue Out

AFAIK, when you see products labels "blurred" out on TV (logos on T-Shirts too), it's because the brand refused to pay for the product placement. Ie, the video makers didn't want to give them free advertising. I guess the thinking is that if they let one go when they refuse to pay, then others will follow. Obviously, some brands do chose to pay.

I think this is different from purposeful product placement as opposed to "accidental" (i.e., they just happened to film somebody using a tool with the label showing).

I'd just be sure not to show the tools being used any innappropriate censored  manner..... Scared

Are these pictures going to be in good taste? I'd also point out that this isn't a 'blokes only' forum.
