What would change if they didn't let someone put on a sale, but they put them on sale anyhow?

Allen,

Welcome to the forum.

I believe in your post you were asking about Festool dealers placing items on sale.  If that is correct, dealers have a contractual relationship with Festool that spells out what they can and can't do.  We are not privy to that information.  Festool determines the pricing on their products and all dealers price based on the direction that they are given.  You can buy the tools from any dealer for the same price.

Hope that helps and we look forward to your posts in the future.

The tools in my truck were talking the other day.  The Dewalts, PC's, Boschs, Makitas were not happy.  They also were in the minority.  Their complaint:  They felt unused and unappreciated since the Festools moved in.  I guess the truth hurts.

Basically Festoot products do not go 'on sale". There are four ways to save money on Festools.

1. Buy a package, like a TS55 and a MFT/3 then you save $58.00
2. Buy a closeout, Festool doses offer closeouts at a reduced price
3. Festool promotions, sometimes you can get Festool accessories with a purchase (I have only heard about this, never been able to take advantage)
4. Buy use Festool product, you will find that most used Festool product retain there value

Good luck, you will find that once you start buying Festool product you will get Addicted!

The only prices I remember are from cheap tools I bought.

Stay tuned, Festool will be announcing the spring promotions in the near future. Rumor has it that the TS and some of their accessories will be 10% off just as you mentioned.
