I like going into our Woodcraft store. Great selection and helpful staff. However, my experience re Festool at our Woodcraft is that there is a low level of Festool product knowledge.

I find Highland Woodworking has staff who are highly knowledgeable of Festool products. The staff is every bit as helpful and friendly as at Woodcraft. They also have a shop area where a customer can try out a tool.

The stock at the two stores overlaps a little, but with both stores plus a Rockler in the area, most needs can be covered with an hour's drive time. Rockler stopped carrying Festool some time ago.

Now, there are two Woodcraft and two Rocklers plus Highland Woodworking in the metro ATL.

I was in Atlanta on business a couple of weeks ago and stopped by Highland Hardware for a couple of hours.  The selection was pretty amazing, lots of high end tools including a great selection of Festool.  Since I was flying, I settled for a Narex rasp - I've wanted to try one out for a while.  Tried to carry it on back to CO and was turned away by the TSA. Apparently any tool over 7" must be checked, even if there is no edge.  I hate it when the TSA folks roll their eyes and give me that "what were you thinking" look.  Fortunately I had the time to check it.

That's just it, we have ONE place to buy festool or any top end tools for that matter, the woodcraft, there is a store in maui but bottom line is, we go to woodcraft or like me, give my business to toolnut=)
