I don't want to be rude or ruffle anyones feathers but....STOP WHINING!

Sorry to ramble, but reading through these posts and seeing everyone complain is really pissing me off.  You guys are complaining that you don't know soon enough whether you are gonna get the tool that you want.  You want something to complain about?  How about the thousands of people in this country that don't know how they are going to feed their children because they can't find a job?  Please put this in perspective.  If you get what you want, homerun...If not, GET OVER IT.  After all, they are just tools, not life or death.

Should we expect an email or anything when they ship out?

Not that we're anxious or anything...

Your dealer will be informed when the order has been processed and shipped. Orders are still being entered. I don't know how many orders are still in the queue but there was a lot of progress made over the weekend.

Shane,
I had an order placed on the 1st, for a domino set and a of 1400, is it safe to assume at this point that i was not able to get the items? or should i be more patient... as im sure you can understand as well that we are all a little excited and the suspense of not knowing is the worst part.

Thanks to you and everyone else for all the information you have been able to give.

Mike,

Welcome to the forum!

All of the orders submitted on the 1st, and there were a lot of them, were not completely entered until the weekend. We had ice in Indy and our offices were closed for a couple of days unexpectedly. This slowed the process of getting those orders entered.

I would think you should know something today or tomorrow.

I can tell you that we had VERY few OF 1400's and Dominos to begin with.

Is there any update on this?  Specifically, do you know when all of the dealers will be notified of what their customers will receive?

Thanks

Dan,

As far as I know, all of the pending orders have been entered into our system. Our sales team is in the process of contacting dealers to let them know order status. This has proven to be a slow process. For instance, if someone ordered an MFT/3-Kapex table and a Kapex but only one is available, we need to call to see if the customer still wants the item(s) that are available, or possibly substitute for a 10% instead of a 20% that's run out.

I just received a 20% DTS and I must say I wouldn't have expected any less out of Festool. This thing doesn't look like it's ever touched any substrate with paper on it. It was missing the little demo pack of paper other than that it looks brand new. Smile

I purchased a brand new DTS earlier this year and I all I got was one sheet of sandpaper.  I don't believe you get a demo pack like the ETS series of sanders.  You got a great deal at 20%.

Ironically it had one sheet of paper on board so I guess it is in fact perfectly new. I'm extremely pleased for a "reconditioned" tool.

I've heard a lot of bad news about the recons.  I think you should dump them  at half price. Do it quickly before you can't sell them.

Let me know when you put them up for sale at half price.  ahahahahahahahahahahahah

Hopefully the calls for work turns around as I presume you're being sarcastic. There is nothing more frustrating that a silent phone. Mad I've been in that situation more than once in twenty years. It makes for sleepless nights.

I must begin to assume that since the first round of orders is complete, and my last email to my dealer has gone unanswered from Monday night, that I did not win in the Festool Reconditioned Order Contest.

I take back everything I said earlier about how we should all be happy that we have a shot; this whole thing is unfair because I lost, and I'm taking my ball, and I'm going home now.

Nyah.

(No, I'm not being serious..  We can still play with my ball.)

My OF1400 came yesterday.  (Thanks, Sean!) It was in beautiful condition. The appearance and condition are what it would have looked like after I used it for just one project.

It was late when I unpacked it and my kids were asleep, so I wasn't able to power it up  and make chips yet.

  Eric,

Please don't thank me; you have all waited long enough and for the others who are still waiting, here's the deal. This afternoon I received a file from Festool with  some of the orders (almost all multi-tool orders) that  are still "outstanding"- outstanding because they want to ensure the customers and myself are "okay" with the item/items  that is/are out of stock and offer all an opportunity to revisit before shipping and closing their order. They promised me a definitive list by tomorrow and we should have everything settled by Friday. Luckily the vast majority of orders have shipped, but frankly, the sheer volume of my orders placed has left some on that list.  I also know that for some, especially those who want a 20% or nothing tool, the well can be dry. I know how frustrating the wait has been, but I have to say that it would have been far easier for the ladies in the office to have shipped what is available and called it a day, but as they have always done, have gone the extra step to ensure the customer is taken care of; even in the face of the rough waters they have been treading the last week.

News flash/update. Ok, here's something to  think about when you think of Festool service. It is now 9:10 pm and while I was writing this, Debbie from Festool just emailed me my updated and finalized list. YA GET THAT? - 9:10 pm and she's still working...and of course, I am fairly sure with Shane's help. As if Shane ever rests, but we all know he doesn't. Wink

So, I apologize for the delay. But I MUST THANK my customers for their orders and support and for some of them, their patience, as well as to the staff at Festool, particularly Shane, Julie, Debbie and Gayle, as well as the warehouse staff for their tireless work and valiant efforts in charting these uncharted recon tool waters.
