What is the difference between the single diced and double diced?

Is the double dice scored on two axis versus 1? Or "double-diced" as in foam i scored twice as much so you can have a tighted fit in the foam?

Perhaps a clearer way of asking my question is whether Sys 2 Vari is like Pelican case pick and plug foam

Thanks,

Kim

They are both the same in terms of construction of the foam. It is cut on two axes, all the way through except a bit in the centre. So it is 'pick & plug'.

The difference is that, because a sys2 is deeper than a sys1, there are TWO layers of the diced foam instead of one.

Thanks for clarification. I am going to putting stuff like my small camcorder and stuff around the house in the systainer cases because for stuff around the house it doesnt need the bulk or heft of the pelican cases... oh and it less expensive too!
