Driving home today I decided to take a diversion to my local Festool pusher (oops, I mean dealer). I intended to go in to organise a Domino XL ... but because he told me not to bother with a deposit, I decided to grab a DTS400 ... because there was a little sign saying free Granat samples included (yes - that darn Paul Marcel's influence again ... but I can't blame the Domino XL on him).

Anyway ...

Just coming up to the main road I stopped at a junction I don't normally pause at. There I saw a new sign with an URL - www.time4timber.com.au

The rain was terrible and it was only five minutes from home, so rather than stop, I pulled out the iPad at the next set of traffic lights to see who they were ... and found this ...

http://www.time4timber.com.au/list-of-slabs.html

Oh dear - I need this near me like I need a hole in the head!

Nah - that's a good old fashioned mistake ... unless they've got some interesting woodworking technology down there that transforms unique timbers into plain ones.

Our English is the Queen's English, with the addition of a little local slang and a few Aboriginal mutterings.

Did you notice the buttom note??? Eek!

is 100$ / hr the normal price for sanding down there.

If so, I instantly stop studying, grab my sander and migrate to Australia....  Big Grin

It's a BIG sander - seriously! You're paying for machine time.
