Screws & Fixings
« on: April 05, 2015, 10:19 AM »
Hey there guys

This quick question is targeted to the people from the UK I suppose,

Had a couple of bad batches of screws from Screwfix lately, so looking to find a different supplier. Can anyone suggest where I can buy them online?

Thanks in advance,

~WW

We've been using these of late

http://www.optimaxx.co.uk

Cheaper than Spax and a great all rounder. Timco velocity are also pretty good.

Been using only SPAX for a couple of years now.
Absolutely superb compared to other brands I've tried.
Have bought them online but spoke to our local merchant (Jewsons) and agreed prices etc and gave him sizes we use. He keeps them all in stock now.

Jmb got me onto the timberfix360 screws. I prefer them over spax and reisser. And they are cheaper.

I use Torx Fast General Purpose now from Toolstation, not too expensive, self cutting, ribs under the head, they are great and you get a free Torx bit in each box.
