Cannot find them through iTunes, but their web site was easy to find. The offer was through Sept 30, so, once again, a day late and a dollar short.
It's still on the app store I just checked this second! Jmb

Just been playing around with the App more!
The fact it tells you in order what to cut first cross cut or rip cut is handy! You can adjust the setting to allow for Kerf.
I got a job coming up where I gotta do a cutting list and ill use it see how it works for me and report back!

do you think its worth paying the £14 for the ambisaw version? ideally an iphone app would be more usefull than computer based software

I thought it was £11.99 ummm hard to tell at the moment but its a very handy app! As it lays out your cuts for you automatically BUT if you want to do it your self thats easy enough as it lets you drag each piece individually and if you double tap it rotates the piece so if you have a veneered board and want to rotate it so the grain goes the right way you can turn it to do so and still try and get as much out of each sheet possible. You can set if your using a Raw saw, Beam Saw, Panel saw to cut the sheets up BUT im not figured out what difference it makes JMB

Things are looking up I wrote asking if there was an iPad version and the answer was YES in beta testing. I was invited to become a tester and have just downloaded and installed it. I will be playing with it for a while and will review it later I have checked and the developer is happy for me to talk about it. On 5 Oct 2011, at 19:39, Andrew Moran wrote:

We call them 4by8's around here... I suppose you guys call 2by4's 4x2's too?
Doesn't it have something to do with the grain direction -- that the grain runs one way for a 4x8 and the other way for an 8x4?

Yeah I have been playing with the iPad version couple days now it's very much like the Ambisaw both are ALOT better than the navisaw version one main benefit being you can name each part of the cut out so you know what is what. Oh I also noticed the Ambisaw version did not have autorotate! But the navi and AmbisawPAD (iPad version) has. I asked Andrew the other day We turned off auto-rotating in the latest AmbiSaw version because we thought it was more of an hindrance than a help. AmbiSaw for iPad will have it back in though.
Very happy to get feedback!
Thanks Andrew

Have you been using Ambisaw connect? I tried it and the first time it worked but since then it won't sincronise. Bay be it's a beta bug?

lol sorry didnt reply! No I have not been using the connect yet! Is it any good? It does work I have been using the import function and it does what it says it will. I have just put a 84 piece cutting list in via connect and it is there and in the AmbisawPad program. But deletion only sort of works. I have had a few bugs with the AmbisawPad version but thats expected as its an BETA version have you had any yet?? JMB
Yes I have if you set it for cross cut it does a poor job. The buttons have no feedback, you don't know if they have been pressed. The tool bar sometimes disappears, but rotation does bring it back. What have you found? I would class this as an Alpha release or a very early pre beta at the best. What do you think? Just about to e-mail Andrew with my BETA test findings now.

Same things like the tool bar disappears i closed the app and reopened it never thought about rotating it to bring it back! You can rotate the stock by double tapping so you can change the direction of grain if you wanted you have to just reentered the size but the other way round to make it run the other way. The AmbiSaw Iphone version you can rotate with a double tap. The Green cutting lines dont stay inline with the stock if you moved it across the screen. I gotta build some units for some bathrooms and im going to use the Ambisaw Iphone version for the job to work out how many Green MR MDF sheets I need. JMB
