I'd like to thank Frank Stacho whose post inspired me to build my own sysport. Frank's post
The top is from an MFT/3, and the cabinet is the same height as my existing MFT/3. I used 14" shelves front and back to hold systainers, whereas the drawers are full depth 26". The small center support helps prevent sagging of the MFT top if something heavy is placed on it, but is movable depending on where I need to place clamps. It has locking wheels as I'm short for space - everything gets pushed against the wall when I'm done so the wife can put her car in the garage overnight!!
The base frame is 4" x 1" something
The cabinet is 5/8" oak ply from Lowes
The shelves/drawers are 1/2" baltic ply from WoodCraft
The wheels are locking swivel 3" wheels from Woodvraft
Drawer fronts are yellow heart
Shelf fronts are purple heart
Drawer runners are 1 1/2" over travel Rockler, 14" and 26"
A mix of tongue-and groove, dowel, glue and screws!!
