First post and glad to be here!  I did run a search on domino+tloc+tendons but didn't find anything.

I have a domino tenon set in the original systainer system.  I love the new t-locs.  Can the old set and foam insert in the lid fit inside a new empty t-loc?  Or is there a part number for an empty tloc domino tendon systainer?

Thanks in advance! Big Grin

welcome to the fog
are you talking about the tennon assortment systainer
i dont the ply inset will fit  straight away (but i could be wrong)
you might have to cut it a bit to fit the curves ect.
i would sell the empty assortment box on ebay and buy a new t loc version for your tennons

 Welcome! Welcome!

There is an assortment Systainer (T-Loc) that you buy empty, that comes with the newer plastic trays.

Shane mentioned the part number in a thread recently when I was asking about a SIPO assortment - can't find it at the moment. I do remember th price wasn't much more than an empty T-Loc ...

If you drop a question to Shane in the "Ask Festool" section, Shane will probably respond with part number and list price within 5 nanoseconds.

Cheers,

Kev

Welcome to the forum!

Here are information that Kev was referencing.  Any dealer should be able to get you the price.

The tools in my truck were talking the other day.  The Dewalts, PC's, Boschs, Makitas were not happy.  They also were in the minority.  Their complaint:  They felt unused and unappreciated since the Festools moved in.  I guess the truth hurts.

Does this use removable trays like the XL systainer?

497703 is the T-Loc with plywood dividers.

498889 is the T-Loc with removable plastic bins.

What an odd setup that lid foam has.  I can see that it prevents migration of the Dominos… and ALSO allows some headspace above each section.  Nice improvement vs. the classic Systainer setup.
