Festool Midi Power Output 110v
« on: October 14, 2018, 09:31 AM »
Hi all.

I have recently bought a Festool CTL MIDI 110v and the power output on the plug socket for auto extraction says "Maximum 500w". I have seen multiple topics saying that I cannot use anything above 500w, but then I have also seen people saying they have been using there TS55 track saw which is 1200w with this hoover perfectly fine for a number of years.

I cant find a definitive answer to this so any help would be appreciated.

I'd like to plug my 1800w Mitre saw into the Midi for auto extraction.

Many thanks

Kyle

It's 2400W.

See http://festoolownersgroup.com/festool-tools-accessories/voltage-question-for-usa-owners/msg83488/#msg83488 although Festool have also commented that any tool they produce can be used with their extractors without issue.

Perfect!, I wish they didn't put that sticker on there as it really confuses people.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum , Kyle.  [smile]

suspect  that it is not really Festool's choice to use that sticker.
