Hi
I'm sure this topic must have been covered here before but i can't find it.
I've just purchased Parallel Side fences and extensions( 495717 & 495718) and I need to set them up accurately. The instructions supplied are a joke. Can anyone point me towards a video or detailed instructions on setup.
Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum. Brice did a great piece on the parallel guides. Here is a link:

I will also get a couple of video links and post back here.

You can find a ton of videos on YouTube. Here is Sedge demonstrating the Parallel Guides:

The tools in my truck were talking the other day. The Dewalts, PC's, Boschs, Makitas were not happy. They also were in the minority. Their complaint: They felt unused and unappreciated since the Festools moved in. I guess the truth hurts.

I cut an accurate 200mm block on my SCMS to use as a gauge when calibrating the guides. Mark a tooth on each side of the blade on your saw with a felt marker and use this tooth against the gauge block to set the stops when they are clamped at 200mm.
