I think what people are forgetting is that all of these avenues are marketing channels for Festool.

Meaning , these vids are ADVERTISEMENTS.

And those are sold, bought, and measured by how many eyeballs can be reliably measured to look at said ads. Im guessing that going from 3000 to 80,000 eyes in about a year prob. makes marketing mangers foam at the mouth. Especially when they are more than likely "new" punters.

Couple that with the low cost and effort required to produce these - can you blame Festool for focusing efforts on this ?  They've got this site's long term customer sewn up already with little upside to increase sales. But 75,000 realtively young and early customers that still have small collections has real potential.

And those young-uns like quick, easy to digest content.  In depth productions like PP's videos don't really appeal to that demographic.

Appreciate the videos.  Initially, I was abit annoyed that I could not expand to full screen and assumed that I would have to create an account. I am happy to be proved wrong as I did not need an account and was able to view the video just fine and apply the tips quickly.

Thanks again for taking the time to share ANY knowledge in ANY format.

Its strange they keep recommending rail joining trick using saw. It might work with ATF65 (I suspect its how the trick originated), but is fundamentally wrong to use with TS series.

I actually own a video production company so I have lots of experience doing these types of things.  What is the major advantage of this Smartphone-Instagram approach?   It gets DONE.  So many other approaches --- training programs, YouTube etc -- take forever to plan - script - shoot - edit -upload etc.   This is extremely cost effective (even though that hurts the types of business we do).  I can't argue with getting it DONE.  So keep on doing them.  Eventually we need an indexing searching method.

I love the videos just as they are but have no desire to go to instagram.  Why couldn't a "Sedge's Corner" be created here on FOG and just repost them as they are.  It shouldn't be much work and would benifit old ludites such as myself.

I agree with greymann. I have no plans on joining instagram.
Why not place them on Festool Facebook page also?
It seems some are and some not.

His account isn't private I'm pretty sure you can watch them online on your browser.

I agree I'd like to have them more accessible. Mainly I just want to save copies offline as I'll be coming back to some of them over and over.

I still contend it's about Sedge getting a new shirt for each video.

The latest videos from Sedge are now on YouTube, and we'll be adding new ones as he produces them. (We're not likely to upload too many of the old ones. He's deleted the original files, and the ripped ones aren't very high-quality video.)

You can get them at festooltraining.tv.

@jobsworth All of Sedge's videos — including the Domino ones — that aren't on the YouTube playlist are still on his Instagram channel. https://www.instagram.com/festoolsedge

We'll possibly add more of his old ones to YouTube, but the video quality isn't great after their ripped from Instagram. Sedge already deleted the raw file.

@jobsworth - Thanks. I'll pass it along to Sedge! Is there anything in particular that you're struggling with? Feel free to send a PM if you'd prefer.

Last week I found these instagrams. This week my 27 mm hose and one connector separated. One of his videos showed how to reconnect the two. Following his inspiration it took about 30 seconds to get the two connected. Fantastic.

A little late to this party, but I just found these quick tips.  They're great!  I'm not an Instagram account user, but these helpful tips provide a lot of info in a very short time.  I especially found the domino tips to be a big help.  It looks like Sedge has a ball making these, so please keep them coming [thumbs up]

Just watched one on the Kapex.  Bet not many users of the Kapex had done this one - until tomorrow.

Thanks for the update. As I was out of the country, I missed the Roadshow when it was in my city. A friend did get me a cap.

Just came across this thread and started watching some of the videos from Sedge. The "how to center the domino" was priceless-why didn't I know this already?? Keep them coming Festool! Your included documentation is basically non-existent so show people how to get more use and value from the tools is a huge help.

Have you downloaded and read the Supplemental User Manual for the Domino online on the Festool site? This manual answers most questions users have.
