Y connector w/ blast gate ???

The Y connector for a vacuum has a plug to shut off one side . So still will need to disconnect and reconnect another hose.
Is there a "blast gate" that can be used so two hoses can be connected at the same time ( one for a saw and the other for sander) and one can just shut off one side for the other? - like this ?

Sorry for the photo quality, but yes. I have a set up with the Festool Y and two blast gates, and I have 2 different size hoses on the blast gates....

I don't believe there is an off the shelf solution for this problem. Ron Paulk recently made a video showing how to make 3 port manifold with blast gates: .  He's asked Fastcap to manufacture a commercially available manifold, but I think that's dependent on enough consumer interest.   It seems to be a fair amount of work, but doable.  I know you're only asking about a Y connector, but if you bother to make your own I think I'd add the additional port for "just in case."

I made my own with two $6 gates from woodcraft and some abs pipe as bushings to the FT wye. I did add a jumper wire for the anti static continuity. I don’t know if that is necessary, but for a few cents, why not?  My gates work just fine. Yeah, it would be really cool to have the koolaid version, I just can’t justify the cost.

Good luck.

I was trying to find an electronic blast gate for the Festool wye fitting, so I can run two tools, off separate hoses and not have to flip a switch, just pull the tool trigger and have it automatically switch. Already use a triple tap for the switched plug in. Anyone got an idea for smaller automatic blast gates?

I knew about them and also Ivac. Both companies smallest gates are 4" though. To go up to 4" then back down would be one heck of a contraption.

If someone released an electronic 2 1/4" blast gate, I would immediately purchase two of them and the controller.
