My 2 sets definitely seem to be from different production runs. The newer set has an embossed UJK logo. The first set had logo printed directly on the surface.

I advised Axminster about my issues with set #2. They didn’t respond, but I hope they are working the problem and keep us in mind when they get this figured out.

I just ordered a Parf II system from TSO Products last night after waiting a long while for stock to be listed as available. I am hoping the issue has been resolved. I feel like I should have asked before placing the order, but I was also concerned that the in stock status would quickly change back to out of stock if I delayed my order.

Finger crossed. I am anxious to receive the items, and in the mean time I would love to learn if TSO has had a chance to inspect and confirm that the rails in their fresh stock are properly aligned, spaced, etc.

Thank you!

@Woody Knotsensplintahs ,  one thing I can tell you is that TSO stands behind everything they make or sell.  The believe in customer satisfaction to the nines.

Peter, I think Woody is justified in being concerned based on post #208 alone. Everyone already knows that Axminster or TSO stands behind this product, but customers should not be thinking about receiving a defective product seven months into this.

A better solution might be to use the 20mm drill guide. a straight edge, and a good square to make the holes. This method is tedious, but it does not rely on the Parf Sticks. Maybe they could change the design of the 20mm drill guide so that the alternative method would be less tedious.

The curved sticks is what bugs me he most. Not starting with straight stock seems like a recipe for disaster.

How does the stock get indexed in the cnc before milling the holes? It must use the sides of the sticks, right?

I just noticed that the inspection fixture posted at #197 doesn’t even check the 32/48 mm offset holes that so many have had issues with.

@TSO Products, do they have an additional step for those holes?

My order shipped yesterday. I had been checking the TSO website twice a day with the hope of getting to purchase a kit. I was concerned that I would be out of service when the automated email for in stock status notification was sent out. Curiously, it has been several days since the item was listed as in stock, and it is still listed as in stock, yet I never did receive an email notifying me of the stock status update.

I guess I got lucky?

Be sure to report back after you get a chance to drill some holes!

EDIT: Rec'd shipping confirmation right after I posted this so guess they are still in stock.

Have you had an opportunity to layout any holes?

Not yet.  Took all the bits out to inspect and was impressed by the overall quality and heft of the components.  Like many here, I appreciate finely made items and this does not disappoint.

I am still designing my MFT.  I am currently laying out the overall size I want.  I also am planning to make an MFT with surfaces at 90 degrees to each other so I have large surface to attach items vertically as well as horizontally.  I am sure this has been done, but haven't yet seen pix.

That's a good one, thanks.  I was going to make mine a bit larger (and a mobile cart), but may not really need to for the vertical surface, but for the same reasons he illustrates.  I am also making mine from AC plywood so it will be more stable than MDF.

I wish I could fit a big table in the garage.

Not for nothing, highly recommend a smaller test of the parf system before you commit to drilling your good top. Especially if you’re going to use nice plywood. Especially if you’re interested in the 32/48 offsets.
