Custom MFT work station
«

Reposting the photos which disappeared after Photobucket craziness.
The top is an oversized MDF CNC board from Atlanta, GA bought off ebay. Has 20mm holes 96mm on center no different than Festool's top just bigger. Used 1-1/2" 80/20 extrusions all around. Steel frame is 2" 12 gauge angle iron. Kreg double locking casters. 7 sys-az drawers.
Lee Valley track used with adhesive tape and flip up stops. I have Festool branded dogs inverted under the table with M8 knobs to lock the Lee Valley track.
Completed station

Nice job. I really like that
I like the way you presented your build I've literally just tried to do the same it didn't come across nearly as coherently as yours. Nice one
And didn't you find it impossible not to try and line the drawers up

Really well done. Excellent photos walking through the process.
Are those 20mm holes in the welding table top? That's a great idea for clamping and squaring things up. Looks like you used dogs that could also be used on the MFT top.

Great Job!
I like how you incorporated the 8020.
As I was looking through your pics, I was like, that looks like a certiflat
I just finished welding my CertiFlat Fab block a few weekends ago. Nice tables!

very cool! im in the process of making a work bench + kapex table + mft + sys AZ maybe some extra drawers later on as well. I used 1.75in .065 square tubing with an everlast tig. I just finished my welding table so i can make this 10ft+ bench for my garage shop
I stayed away from the aluminum look and went for the steel because i enjoy the industrial look

that's awesome. I really like it. it'll be nice if you could come with a corner piece that can join the aluminum rails. Maybe be a corner wooden block with the same profile or mitered... just a thought.

Looking for inspiration for my own Mft work bench (some great ideas here to consider/incorporate alongside the ron paulk design) my idea is for a centre floor P shaped design with the narrow section providing my main work/cutting area , I am impressed with the Ujk Mft box and top and therefore considering purchasing this as my work/cutting section and adding a custom built bigger workbench surface (L/h).
Does anybody have any thoughts on said item and conversion ? Ta
