Hi.
I've just finished my new mounting plate for the LS Positioner. Thought I'd share some pictures. Maybe someone gets ideas or inspiration out of it.

I think it would be something along the lines of 'super' or 'ljuvligt' in a funny Svedish accent. Smile

Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool

Don't know that I would use it with the MFT on its standard mobile legs...?(even with the adaptor that solidifies the legs a bit more from racking , I wouldn't trust a router on those table legs...even a little shakiness would scare the living tar out of me---maybe I'm alone on this...but I'll be alone with all ten fingers in full!).

I'm going to steal ideas from you to install something similar in my custom table (with really beefy non mobile legs that don't let an ounce of shake into the tabeltop Smiley )

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE MY MFT for certain things...and it would be fine if you took the MFT and put it on some solid legs.

Of course I'm being a total jerk and focusing on safety (from only my perspective)

Don't want to detract from how awesome that is.

Is the black piece made out of wood?

Thanks.
The black thing is wood. It's called Valchromat. Really cool MDF with colored fibers. I'm currently building a drill press table out of the same material with an Incra fence as well.
Valchromat

About safety.. Yes, I agree with you. My next project is a welded steel frame for my two MFTs. They will stand on Zambus casters.

Here is the drill press table in an early state. I have ordered some longer T-Tracks from Incra. Until it arrives I will leave the table in this rough state so I have the edges left for some more routing.

Do you have any plans to attach a guide rail to it?

OT: "Wow" translates nicely into "Wow" in Swedish... We have a long history of incorporating English words in our own language. "Ljuvligt" is something my grandmother would have said.

Do you mean a guide rail on the MFT? I have a second MFT on which I do most sawing. When I need a bigger table I put them together and place a sheet of OSB on top to save the MFT's from kerfs.

Ah, no I mean to attach a guide rail to the Incra router fence, or maybe replace the fence with a rail in some way? Shouldn't it be useful sometimes to have micrometer-level control of a guide rail?
