MFT Rail support scale
« on: February 11, 2017, 04:39 AM »
There are millimetre markings embossed on the plastic of the guide rail supports of the MFT3, but there doesn't appear to be a reference line on the sliding steel portion. Are these markings supposed to represent stock thickness, suggested depth of cut or something else? What do they reference as a pointer?

If i recall from end user training, those are one of those 'ignore those' things! Maybe a hold over from a different system or product, in the current offering I dont think you use them for anything---

I do not own an MFT so...Couldn't you drop it down so the rail is resting on the table, then make a mark at ZERO with a permanent marker, from which you could now utilize those scales for height settings?
