In comparison with my old TS55, the plastic connector for the dust extraction hose is very loose so that, unlike on my  old saw, you can't position it where you want it. When you connect a hose, the connector swings down so that the hose drags along the rail. Warren from Toolfest was good enough to confirm that this was also the case with other new saws and also confirm that his old TS55 was like mine in that the hose connector was quite a tight fit to the saw.

I therefore unscrewed the side panel - 5 torx screws -  and wrapped a turn of insulating tape round the plastic connector. It is a lot better but I think it might need a second turn.

Not sure if this is supposed to be an improvement but as far as I'm concerned it is a fault - albeit one that can easily be corrected.

very disapointing,
my ts55 does that sometimes (not always,got to do with where the vac is ) very anoying.
i would hate it if it did it all the time.
how do you find the rest of the new features.

I'm happy enough with it - not a huge difference to the old TS55 although the dx is better. Can't say that the new depth adjuster makes that much difference - In fact I was ripping down some veneered mdf today - set it to 19mm and it left a ragged edge in places where the blade had obviously only just cut through the veneer. Possibly this was because I tend to use the saw one handed. I increased the depth to 21 and then problems - I cut onto an 8 x 4 sheet of celotex as a sacrificial support. Haven't yet had the need to cut to -1 degree or +47 degrees. At the end of the day it is a tool that does a very good job but not really worth upgrading unless you can get a good price on your old saw. I managed to sell my old one which was 8 years old - I'd had it for 4 - for more than I paid for it so it was a no brainer
