Porter Cable edge guide modifed to fit Festool routers
« on: March 16, 2017, 04:40 PM »
This may have already been covered somewhere else, but here goes.  I modified a Porter Cable edge guide to fit the OF 1400 and the OF 1010.  The guide rods that come with the Porter Cable actually fit in the slots in both routers very snugly.  I used a piece of 3/4" x 3/8" cold rolled flatbar about 6 inches long.  I match drilled the holes to mount the bar to the guide body. These are #10-24 through holes (I used a 13/64" drill bit). Then the holes to mount the guide bars are 79mm center-to-center for the OF 1400 and 107mm center-to-center for the OF 1010, 1/4"-20 tapped holes.  I can create a drawing if anyone is interested.
