Mike, that looks like interesting stuff.  I wonder if anyone in Canada carries it.

But ,I think that the material I will use in the experimental pieces I hope to get arround to making sometime this year will be built using 11mm Crezon "sign board".  It is great to work with and can take almost any abuse in the outdoors that you subject it to.  For example, I took duplicate pieces, put one of them in a bucket of water for a day then took it out and dried it.  I could not tell the difference between the two pieces.

Frank,
The company's address of the link I posted is located in Buffalo. Pretty close to Toronto Grin Sounds like a road trip to me.

I might swing by there myself when I get a spare moment. I think they will ship to Canada too.
Mike

That sign board is what Patrick is talking about MDO. Good stuff.

Thanks for the info about Canada Mike and Brice.  I should read more before I ask questions.   Embarrassed

Upon further investigation, the non-800 phone number that they list is a in Toronto.  It is hard to determine from what I read on the WEB, but I think That TCH might be a company which was founded in Canada and has expanded into the USA.  They do say that they have both Canadian and US locations.

Turkstra Lumber in Hamilton, Brantford, Dundas, Stoney Creek (all in Southern Ontario), etc. carries MDO, it stinks, like your going to get a headach... worse if it gets wet, but once edge banded and painted not bad.

It sounds like MDO is not the same stuff as the Crezon "sign board" that I have used then because Crezon has none of those smelly characteristics and it is much better than 'not bad'.

Hi,

The Crezon is some type of MDO. This site has some specs for it and similar products.    http://www.greatnorthernlumber.com/crezon.htm

And the comment from Mathew (give this thing it's own discussion) may be worthwhile (especially if I get around to uploading some plans for the things here), is this a good idea for everyone interested?

Steve

Yes, Steve and Matthew, give this shopmade CMS design its own discussion thread.  Like Dan and many others, I want to "borrow" many of your excellent ideas.  Some of them can also be added as modifications to basic shopmade Sysports concepts of others.

Dave r.

It already has it's new discussion, this is it!

And more details will follow, I just got buried in a customer (ie paying) project and haven't had time to upload more details (like the fence) more info will follow as soon as I get time.

Steve,
You mean paying jobs are more important than posting to the forum!  Hmm...
Looking forward to seeing more details.
