I wonder why I didn't build it earlier! Try this link instead. Should work fine.

Next you'll add another skirt, then vise, then legs ending up with a traditional bench.  [poke]

@David Stanton

Now that you have the skirt, if you had to build another - or if someone wanted to build one from scratch - would it be possible/easier to build the top and skirt as one piece, eliminating the fiddling with the Parf Jig, and then split the two parts?

Yes, create as one and then cut the 2 panels would be easier but as you say, I built the top first and only after using it thought it would be handy to create the apron. But it was a lot of fun going through the thought process of retro fit!

Thanks for posting this up on a format anyone can see without signing their life away [thumbs up]
Great idea and would be really useful, I think, for those wanting to hand cut dovetails on heirloom type projects as well.
Very cool.

How are we supposed to know Dave has a channel without it being mentioned first?   [huh]

I built your bench last Saturday.  It’s a neat idea.  I have not yet added the anti slip strips as I wondered about their getting damaged in normal bench use.  Curious if you are noticing any damage with use so far?

Thanks so much for making these videos.  Really useful ideas!

First of all, thanks for the compliments! I am sorry that I had not placed a Youtube link earlier or disclosed that I have a youtube channel. I will place a link directly to my channel at the end of this post for anyone who wants to have a look at the other stuff I make videos about. I run a livestream show once a week for an hour which is laid back, a bit of chat, a bit of demonstration and a bit of viewers projects that we have a look at. It's a bit of fun and a break from the mundane.
Regarding the cushion strip @neilc , I haven't had any issue with wear yet. I don't expect to either. I would think it would get the same abuse as the underside of my tracks for the plunge saw? I love the fact that it holds onto things as well as a router mat does! Anyway, I am always thinking of bigger and better and will be showing more about this handy little bench as time goes by if you are interested. I sometimes drop in here but mostly hang out at my channel averaging one new video per week as well as the chat hour on the weekend.

He's posted about it plenty of times before. That's how I found out about it.

Good for you Cochese, but this post was the first I knew of him being on here!
Not being a moderator I don't get to read every post ever written which is both fortunate and unfortunate in equal measure.
I'll let you guess why.

Oh no, just the useless sniping back and forth. Been subscribed for a long time, just haven't been able to make the last few live shows with building a new shop.
