Steve (Fatroman) and I placed an order together to split the shipping and I just got the bits. They feel like they are made with high quality steel. We'll put them to use on Monday!
That was my impression too. The steel seemed to be quite hard which should hold up well unless it turns out to be brittle. |

As of now I think we are going to do a new kit, however it is a month or so away, I will not give full details on the kit but it will be an interesting complimentary pack to the existing bits and also be R2 heavy. Although the original starter kit will still be a better deal than any other kits we will have.... I have even be asked when we are going to do an R0. Maybe in the USA there is a larger presence of R2 vs any other Robertson..... would this be true? I would be curious to see the demand for R2 only on here (although it may be some time away), also any info on the supply of R2 vs R1 and R3 screws in the USA. General? Thanks and looking forward to the responses. In Electrical work the R1 and R2 fit most devices (switches, outlets, etc.) screws today. R1 and R2 bits would used a lot in short 1" to 6" in length. Cheers, Steve |

I would definitely go for a 5 pack of R2's - Only a hobby guy but it seems R2 = 60% and about 20% each for the R1's and R3's |

In the US R2 covers just about everything just like #2 Philips. Pocket hole screws are R2.

That is an awesome idea for the rings... A real purpose for them. On our bits they are there as a true copy of the festool bits, I guess we just thought they had that figured out. I always thought it had to do with dust protection to the inner centrotec chucks, although it never really touches. I may steal this idea! Keep the feedback coming Thanks Shawn |

Just so everyone knows... You can obviously buy these bits online from myself, Dan or sean... They are also available at tegs tools in Hamilton Ontario and Pierre Berger in Montreal for those who are customers of those two dealers or prefer to shop locally.

Shawn, I do like what you are doing. In my opinion though, I don't see a need for the o-rings. Even for the different sizes, they should still be easily distinguishable in tip size difference.  Thanks for taking this on and seeing it through!  |

All of the bits are stamped r1, 2, 3 no need for further colour coating but to each their own. Personally, i like em black, but i wouldn't care what colour they were either way.
