I think this jig needs to be bigger. The more times you preposition it the bigger your error. I'd say make it 5x4 holes.

That's exactly the reason I opted for the Woodpeckers option.

Thanks for the feedback and we understand your points on this!
The reason why we made it this size is because we could sell it at a very competitive price. Since the jig wouldn’t be used on a daily base, we found that it would be worth giving it this size for the pricing reasons.

Our jigs are very precise, dead on, on a sheet of 4x8. You cannot create an error unless you don’t use a centering mandrel for your router.

Just adding a video from a customer who happened to do a video showing this in action. He is not affiliated with us and was not paid for the video.

Pretty straight forward. I have no sound and can't tell if he is using a Festool template guide?

@Mario Turcot, looking at his order history, yes. He ordered the 30mm Festool template guide, 492185. Also, he ordered the 20mm Festool bit from us, 491072.

Just a note... the bit, guide bushing / template guide and centering mandrel are all listed as options on the page for the router jig. Just click the checkbox(es) to add them to your order if you need them.

I had looked at his jig many months before it ever was available in the US. At this price, buying a genuine Festool replacement MFT top as a jig is only $20 more and gives anyone a worktop as well. Just bought a top a few weeks back for this very purpose.

I think the advantage of the jig is being able to make a custom MFT top of any size.

I suspect that someone could pretty easily use this and then list it in the classifieds here or some auction site and recover most of their cost. [wink] If you could make your top and then sell it for even 50% of what you paid, that makes it a pretty cheap option to make a custom top.

Yep, plan on using the MFT top as a jig to make a 3 ft x 6 ft work table top. Only have to move it a few times to cover that size.

Question: Could one do what he did using the Dimonfix jig but with a non-Festool router and with non-Festool bit/guide bushing? Mine is a Bosch plunge router and would be interested in sourcing the accessories for this application.

@ChuckM, yes, of course. However, the challenge we have found is locating a 30mm guide bushing for a non-Festool router. I think you would need to source one from Europe. Metric guide bushing are hard to find in the U.S.

Thanks! The jig looks easy to use...the guide bushing is a hurdle?  I will check around on that.

You'll need an 8mm collet for the Bosch also. The Festool 20mm bit has an 8mm shaft.

@VictorL, there was an issue with our last order with them. We have additional inventory inbound and expect it within the next 7-10 business days. Sorry for the delay, which is not the norm.

Is there a way to do 3/4” holes with this jig? What would be the setup
