Ryan,

Welcome to the FOG.  I hope that you are a chip off of the OLD block  Poke because there are many here who really appreciate that block.

Just an update:  I have a sample Domiplate in my hands - the rest are being laser engraved as we speak and will be available for purchase VERY soon from our website at www.senecawoodworking.com .  The Site isn't live yet - but there is a link to our Facebook page where we have a few more Domiplate photos. Also there is a box that will allow you to sign up for our email list if you want to be notified when the store launches or subscribe to future updates.

The new Domiplates are black hard coat anodized and laser engraved on both sides to indicate which size the plate is configured for.

Those are very nice!   I may have to get one, as my mind is starting to show some age, and I continue to get the orientation backwards.  Nice update and improvement.

Jack, back on the previous page of posts, I posted a video review of it so you get an idea what it does (it is the old skool version that isn't anodized).  Here's a link to it to save you from digging: Review of Domiplate Accessory for the Domino

Thanks for the review Paul.

The new model looks good.  So good I just ordered one.  I could have used this yesterday and today.  But I have a lot of projects in the near future that will
put the Domiplate to use, for a long time.

Just ordered one - hope it makes its way to France soon. I just wrecked a piece of beech this week because the darn plate slipped and I didn't notice. First time its happened. I think Festool need Ron in their R&D department!

yes, right now we're using the postal service as our shipping carrier but I'm investigating an account with UPS if we can work out terms that won't increase shipping prices.

Ron & Ryan,

Just ordered one (order # 1021) after just discovering this thread for the first time this morning.
Great concept!

I heard the credit card clock ticking as my finger was about to hit the play button on Paul Marcel's video. Doh!

ps. sent you a pm regarding the shipping label.

Thanks for the compliment!  While we don't have our products fabricated by Woodpeckers, those guys do a great job and that's the level of quality we're striving for.

Just an update for everyone:  Unfortunately we're out of the hardware kit parts - but more should be in stock hopefully this week.  In the meantime if anyone needs hardware, screw dimensions are posted on the senecawoodworking.com site and also in the pdf attached at the beginning of this thread.

Things are selling faster than I anticipated and the plates will probably be out of stock within a few days...but we have another bigger batch in production.  I just want to thank everyone for all the support and for your patience while we go through the learning curve of operating an online store and maintaining inventory.

Hi Ron,

I placed an order including the Hardware Kit on the 17th.  Will you ship out just the plate separately from the Hardware Kit?  I don't want to miss out on this round of DomiPlates as I've been eagerly awaiting them to become available!  I would be happy to just get the plate and cancel the Hardware Kit and make due with parts that I already have.  Please let us know how you're handling things.

Many thanks - looks like you've got a high class problem on your hands!

hey Brian,

I didn't mean to cause confusion:  at this point anyone who has placed an order for the hardware kit (including you -  order #1010) will receive it.  The site tracks inventory of the things we sell and consequently won't let anyone order something we don't have in stock   Domiplates are still available and if we do sell out, the same thing will happen; the website won't allow anyone to place an order until they are back in stock.

Everyone who ordered late Friday and over the weekend will get shipped on Tuesday (since Monday is a postal holiday).

thanks for your order...and I hope you enjoy the plate once you get it!

Hey Ron,

I got my shipping confirm today so I assumed this was the case, but thanks for the clarification.  Keep up the good work.  I can't wait to get the new Domino Accessory.  Thank you to you and to the others on the board that work so well together to make this system even better than it is on it's own.  Good 'ole American ingenuity!

Warmest regards,

Brian

Thanks Sal but no worry, that is hard anodized so it will continue looking good even with heavy use.
