Festool sleeved hose for 50% off
« on: December 20, 2018, 12:47 PM »
For those folks that missed out on the deal last time, it appears that Beaver Industrial Supply in St Louis has found some more inventory.

3.5 meter hose with heavier gauge plug it cord and canvas sleeve. Comes in a Sys 3. for $125. these sold for $250 when they first went on sale.

I got one last time and I love it.

Available at the Festool specific site:

https://festools-online.com/festool-sales-closeouts/201751-festool-hose-w-sleeve-3-5m-in-sys-3.html

and the main Beaver site:

https://beavertools.com/201751-festool-hose-w-sleeve-3-5m-in-sys-3.html

Both have free shipping.

If you want it jump on it quickly.

Excellent price, especially as it comes in a $86.00 (list price) T-LOC SYS-3.

Actually it amazes me how long the specials at Beaver Tools last. They must buy truck loads. Although this time they may have a pallet not a truck load??

First I bought one of the hose kits, used it a few times, then realized it was such a great deal and works so well, I bought a second one. Still need to build a set of automatic blast gates so my tools will automatically switch between 3 hoses. Repurposed both SYS3 Systainer's, as one hose gets stored on top of the dust collector and the other in a SYS5 with all the cleanup accessories.

Just placed another order with them for $60. Picked up a new hose end for the vac side of the sleeved hose in hopes it doesn't have those two indentations that stop it from fitting over my Dust Deputy fitting.

This is the canvas sleeved hose with the smaller diameter.  The sleeve and pats can be separated.

I bought three the first time this was offered.  One for my CT36, one for my Fein Turbo II, and a spare.  Great deal!

@deepcreek Joe, these have the cord that handles the higher amp draw tools?

I'd like a shorter hose, I have the long one and most of the time it's coiled up and tends to trap slivers and get clogged up requiring uncoiling to clear it out. I initially assumed bigger was better but in my shop the shorter hose would handle most everything I do.

This hose also appears they have the old style connector, which I prefer. Given their sandpaper deals appears to be old stock also I assume these guys buy closeout inventory in bulk and pass along savings.

FWIW I learned the long hose is actually 2 different diameters connected in the middle, mine came apart and I had to disassemble to figure out why I lost suction. I little electrical tape on the connections solved that problem.

Richard,

Yes, it's the higher amperage cord with the old style connector end.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the new connectors nor the new hole pattern on the paper.

This is the standard length hose at 3.5 meters or about 11-1/2 feet.  Perfect for moving tool to tool in my shop.

I've had no issues at all ordering these from Beaver tools on three separate occasions.  They seem like good folks to deal with.

Hope this helps.

Great deal; I grabbed one from Beaver the day I bought my 2018 CT-26. I like the sheathed hose a lot although it's not as flexible as the 2018 hose.

With my HKC and TSC I prefer the 2018 stock hose, but with my DTS400, having the power cord and hose all wrapped up makes things so much easier.

As was already mentioned, the Sys3 that it comes with makes this purchase a steal!

Except the Regular price listed for some is inflated. i.e. $100 vs. $68 in 240 and 320 grit 6" discs. Whats the deal?

Those aren't 6" discs, they're D185. Thanks for the sale, I just ordered 5 different packs.

Grabbed a hose, was charged shipping even though the site said it was free, emailed and got a credit immediately. I think the hose took < 48 hours to get here also. Beaver gets AAA+ for service.

Only downside is I have another friggin' systainer to store until the boss holds an "estate of a woodworker" clearance sale someday...
