I don't know anything about Macs but a quick check found this one
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/webpage-update-monitor/id1043637701?mt=8

Also for you guys waiting for 'refurbished' sanders.  Here is a Festool 571916 Ets 150/5 Eq Random Orbital Finish Sander for $298 from Amazon Warehouse.  Keep in mind this as sold as 'used' but you can return it for any reason within 30 days (you pay for return shipping) or if it is not 'as described', they will pay return shipping.  (I would think that whatever is left on the warranty would be good?)  Note it is described as 'like new'

Hey Tyler,

Thought just occurred to me. Do we need to register tools bought during the recon sale? Or have Y'all done that for us already?

Sounds like they already do that from the first FAQ:
https://www.festoolrecon.com/pages/faq

Though I'm hoping that database where we can update our own list of tools will be available one day...

I would say the register the tool because they are de-rating the warranty down from whatever was left from the original purchaser to one year

Normally if you buy a used Festool from someone, you assume whatever warranty is left from the original purchaser.  So if you bought a tool that was 1 year old - you would still have 2 years left

@SouthRider - We are not automatically registering tools. Although we always prefer the people register their tools, as long as you have a proof of purchase (which we also have in our system with recon tools) you'll be fine if you have a warranty issue.

Just wanted to thank Tyler and Kiara for their assistance.

I purchased a refurbished CT 26 E dust extractor and it arrived earlier in the week.  The hose garage, however, was cracked in several places. I contacted Tyler who put me in touch with Kiara of the Recon Team.  She promptly emailed me regarding the situation and even followed up with a telephone call a few hours later stating that the part was being shipped.  It arrived yesterday and has now joined my growing Festool collection.

Thanks again for the prompt, courteous and professional service.

Another thank you to Tyler @TylerC if received a ts75 with a beat up systainer, it was cracked and damaged in several areas and he sent me a new systainer.   By the way its really hard to throw a systainer away....  but I was able to save the pins and handle.

Did you guys receive shipping notifications etc. or did the package just show up?  Ordered last week and haven't heard anything.

@TylerC
Thanks...looks like there's something up with my order then.  Checked all spam folders, logged into the recon site and it says "unfulfilled."

Looks like the discounts have increased to 35% on a Kapex.  Is it a trend?

Some items last more than one day.

Kapex was up multiple days, twice I believe.  Conturo was also around a while too.

Trying to buy the CXS that showed up right now.
Apple Pay is not working.
Anyone else having trouble with Apple Pay?
It won’t process.
I am at work and very far from my wallet for a CC.

I almost bought it but it's the older model

You’re right, I didn’t check and I didn’t think to check.
I assumed, and bought fast since I ran for my wallet.
This is the 3rd time I burned myself.
My fault though.
Oh well, seems the luster is wearing off now.
Found a good online dealer.
I think I will stick with them.
Maybe I bought into Festool too late, since seeing all the negative posts lately.

Don't let all the negativity get to you. Online forums are where people complain. I just jumped in myself and I try to be realistic. Some of their tools really are incredible whereas others are so so...I'm focusing on only buying what I consider to be the incredible ones. I think a lot of guys get burnt out trying to buy only Festool and expecting it to be the best or to work for any situation you come across. There's a lot of negativity in the Harley forums too but I entered that world eyes wide open.

The drill and kit are current but the batteries are previous generation.

I'm just curious how can you tell? Everything in the listing indicates it's the older model. No part numbers, description is of the 1.5A version. Can't really trust a picture.

Lol.
Your also correct.
I haven’t had any tools break or fail with the light use I put them through so far.
I bought at work and couldn’t research like I normally do.
I am a mechanic by trade, so I know what you are saying.
I don’t only own Snap On.
My box is full of different brand tools.
I am not complaining or mad, I just need to do more research before trying to save a dollar.
This CSX will be used no matter the AH.

Like minds. My most spendy mechanic tool is a Milwaukee impact. I can rebuild my engine just as well and easily as the guy with a 10k snapon box. Doesn't mean I don't want one though..

The CXS drill itself hasn't been changed or updated, just the kit with newer batteries is what is sold now. So the 1.5 kit has previous batteries and the 2.6 kit has current batteries. The numbers just reference the amp hours of the batteries.

The drill and kit are current but the batteries are previous generation.

I'm just curious how can you tell? Everything in the listing indicates it's the older model. No part numbers, description is of the 1.5A version. Can't really trust a picture.

I was under the impression they added a battery indicator level to the CXS in 2015 and increased the Chuck from 8mm to 10mm.

This makes me chuckle.

FT has guys stampeding to this "sale" and they're just dumping old inventory for what amounts to top dollar.  It's akin to the car dealer charging you full price for last years car. Sure it's new , but a year old new car is worth less on the open market.

Couple this with the fact that you can't use the 1.5Ah batt with anything else in the "system" and this thing is a turkey.  I think FT is just adding more bad taste to people's mouths with this item.

Same here.  This is the second (or third?) time I've clicked on the "Buy Now!" button in the email and found that the item was still available.  Each time I bailed out after doing the research.  I always end up deciding that I'd rather spend a little extra to get brand new, current products with the full warrantee.

Welp, I feel like an idiot.
New cxs is $240 without the 90 attachment which I will probably never use.
Which if bought online would be free shipping and no tax. New 2.6ah batteries
3 year warranty and returns.

I just paid $244.19 after tax for recon. No returns 1 year warranty. And 1.5ah batteries.
Plus not knowing the condition of outer casing or internals.
I missed a lot of recon tools in the beginning with slow emails, so that’s why I jumped on this one and the last one- the mfk-700

I considered buying the DTS, but the fact that it was the older EQ model discouraged me. The higher power, long life bag, and edge guard on the new model seem well worth the $60. Not to mention the full warranty and 30-day return window. And the fact that I still have a $50 voucher to use.  I do have one tool I'm considering purchasing from the recon sale, but it hasn't been offered yet...

I got fooled with the old model syslite a few weeks ago so don't feel bad. I was so excited it wasn't sold out I clicked before doing the research. Oh well.

I almost have every festool as it is so I haven't opened any of the recent recon emails.
