When the Festool Regional Sales Manager comes to your work site to answer questions, instructs you on tool usage nuances, helps with material interactions/reactions with Festool sanding media and offers solutions to jobs he sees. That is great!
Then, when you see that you the need for the tools he has talked about, he offers to loan you his demos so you can immediately solve job site issue and experience them before you buy….. Dang that is “Customer Service” at a level that is Exceptional.
He then says “keep my demo as long as you need for the job” I respond “as soon I can get to my local dealer and get one, or they can order one in for me I’m done with yours”.
He then asks, “Isn’t your favorite dealer WoodCraft in Bloomington, MN? Yes it is… He then says, I have to go there next, I will order one for you, if they don’t have one in-stock. About 20 minutes after he leaves, I get a text… “they have one and the accessories you want, can I get them for you and bring them back to the site for you? Okay at this point you have to ask yourself…”is this a trick question?” Yea Danny put them on the line and let me give them the CC.
20 minutes later, he delivered the tools. WOW! Danny Hale my area Festool Regional Sales Manager is a Rock Star!!!!
Festool USA Thank you so much for hiring this guy and moving him to my area… take him out of my area…and I will start stalking you…..(joke)
Cheers, Steve

I met him last October at the 7 corners ace hardware annual fall tool sale thing and we talked for over an hour about Festool. That experience was what really sold me on your products as none of the other tool reps seemed to care that much about their products.

i would hate to have a rep like that in my area giving that great service. i would be completely broke and still be trying to buy stuff. i wish all companies had staff like that
there is one good thing about this price point acroos the board thing . at least you know what it costs and that noone else will beat the price so no looking around for days looking for the best deal

My experience has been that every Festool USA employee I have contacted has the same high level of product knowledge and enthusiasm as Shane mentioned.
Here in Southern California we have more than one Festool rep. Several years ago Danny Hale was one of them. He became and remains a trusted friend and resource. I remember talking to Allen Kensley when he was a sales associate at Anderson Plywood in Culver City. For years he has been the Festool rep I personally see the most.
We are in good hands with Festool USA.

Allen is awesome. I ran into him at Austins and he told me about a demo day he was haveing at Woodcraft the next day. I stopped buy and we talked and he explained and demo'd and let me play with every tool I had questions about.
He even asked if he could come out to my shop for a visit. i told him its a small garage shop. He didnt care. He still wants to come out.
Where are you going to find that kind of service or customer relations?
I dont know any other manufacturer that would do that.

I agree, Al Kensley is one of the best. His product knowledge and enthusiasm are absolutely infectious. It was a demo he gave back in 2007 that got me started down the "green slippery slope". The rest is history, and so is my bank account.

Allen's on site, real world demos, were the reason I started buying festool. Before that, I would tell myself that was way too much $ for that tool. I've even had a home owner once admiring my tools, had Allen out a few days later on site. Home owner bought more festools than I had at the time.

I agree. Back in 2008 we were lucky enough to have both Danny and Al Kensley here in SoCal for a while. Danny was Regional Sales Manager and Al was "Solution and Application Specialist" (a position I'm not sure currently exists) I once attended a demo with both of them at Eagle Tools, an afternoon that turned out to be very informative, very enjoyable, and very expensive.

Funny how there is a direct corelation when it comes to festool between gaining new knowledge and losing $$ in the back account. Someday I will have to do a study on it. Maybe get a govt subsidy because after all they are "green tools"

I saw Danny at 7 Corners on Saturday, and again had another positive experience, he was that final push I needed to get the RO 150. I think ill have to stop going to shows when he is there because it seems to cost me money. But he is a fantastic representative and I hope he stays in the midwest for the foreseeable future.

I'd love to see Dany in action. Sounds like a real privelegde.
The closest I've gotten to a Festool rep was at Frank Pellows back about 5 years ago, and he simply was a Hafele trained rep. Is there any REAL Festool reps in Canada? If yes Shane, do they Roadshow by chance either at select retailers or at some of the trade or public woodworking shows?
