I almost wish i didn't have a CXS yet so i could buy this one, the bit set that fits in the lid storage seems very handy, do you know if it will ever be available as a separate item?
I was also wondering why a Sys2? The CXS insert from the video looks as if it is sitting taller, is there anything underneath?

why a Sys2?

The attic lid probably wouldn't fit with a sys 1. I tried to put the attic lid on the sys 1 of my T15 but the drill didn't fit inside anymore.

Thanks.  I forgot to mention that inside the Systainer, there is a pull out compartment with storage underneath.  Great for storing more drill bits or screws.  I'll try to get a pic of it on Monday.

Why not? I'm interested to buy kit like this. It might be very HOT item here, in the US. T12+3 + SYS1 promo few years ago attracted me to buy one Smiley

I'm sure NAINA has been debated here many times.  I've not seen the official answer, but I would assume it's a supply issue.  Festool likes to keep it's operation tight and keep new releases relatively 'close' until they have settled into the market.  Even in the UK we can occasionally have supply issues

Also, this is more of an 'Offer' than a new product and, of course USA have their own independent offers throughout the year.

It's up to Festool's marketing team. I'm not sure where this mysterious team is located, I assume in Germany. But if market will show some demand, we can get it too Smiley

I've been able to hold out against the CXS so far, but this I am afraid would be to much to resist. Fortunately it seems likely to be NAINA so Festool won't get to vacuum out my wallet again.

This a great web site and I have learned a lot of valuable knowledge from others on here but, It's hard to see something offered elsewhere and NA here.  I guess we'll just have to wait this one out Big Grin

Since I've held out this long, I'd definitely get this version of the CXS.

I really think the Sys2 with the bit set should be offered as a low cost bonus buy for those loyal Festool customers that were early CXS adopters (ie - for the price of an empty Sys1) ... It's not that nice to be penalized for being first in line and it's also not clever to do this to loyal customers ... it'll ultimately create a "don't buy till the special is offered" mentality (becomes self fulfilling).

Festool's engineering, manufacturing and after sales support are brilliant. The people at Festool responsible for pricing  policy and promotions (global wholesale and retail) need to be injected with a big dose of rational common sense.

I'd expect these promotional techniques from a cheap volume car manufacturer - not a premium tool company like Festool.

Get you act together Festool and offer something to all of the people that have already registered a CXS where ever you're running this promotion, or sit back and watch all of your new product launches fail until you sweeten them with an extra bonus.

That's pretty cool.  I leave my CXS charger out of the Systainer, in order to make room for bits and such.
I know I would buy the insert trays if they came to the US, and a Sys 2 to transfer the whole set into.

thanks Reiska, ive been checking this thread daily to see the insert. What i like a bout the CXS is the many dedicated slots for centrotec stuff. When i got the T15 i was a bit disappointed that there was just one such spot.

The special edition insert looks nice, but not really revolutionary.

I would definitely say it's nice, but not overwhelmingly so. It still is a better set than the original one in my opinion Wink

You need to take the drill out to lighten it up enough to lift it out with one hand from the only reasonable grabbing point (left, middle) or it will be a bit of a wiggle to get out. (the back corner of the top insert goes under the hinge to keep it in place when upside down or something)

Also the lid container is very shallow just 23mm deep so you can only have about 20 screws in a compartment at a time (between two dividers) - good for first aid, but for larger jobs you'll still need your sortainer.
