@Kev if your pricing model is anywhere accurate I will be drooling it as well. Festool haven't really got anything in the big saw lineup for rough sawing other than the TS75.

The sword saw is not available down under. I know the HK132 is a beast. I resaw rough lumber to convert it for furniture use, a big saw is a necessity. The TS75 is lower powered than the HK85.

There is also the MKS130, 145, 165 and 185 if you need more depth. None of them are too cheap.

@Grakat I'm lucky enough to have a sword saw [wink]

I remember them being available in orange. Haven't seen it in green at the local Festool store, but they have been a bit thin on the ground with their stock of late.

I was  in at my Premium dealer today, no sign of them. Just checked their web site, still no sign of them.

I had called in for a Festool #2 Square bit, no sign of them either. Went to their non Festool Store next door and purchased as Irwin and used my Metabo 18V.

There was not even a square bit in the Festool Mixed Bit box. Given that square bit decking screws are a big seller in Aus. does Festool actually make and distribute these anywhere?

@Untidy Shop pretty sure you'd need to order Snappy if you want a square drive Centrotec.

Hey fellow strayans  [big grin]

Festool have just replied to a post I put on their Facebook page, which confirms we are getting the HK85 in August. Wondering if Kevs predictions will come true.

Annual Festool Aus, consumer survey now open and ends August 31st.

By completing the survey you could win a Power Select Tool.   [smile]

Most of the survey is about your dealer experience. Here I was very positive. There is however one open question on how Festool AUST. could improve!   [doh] [smile]

Hi,

I expect August when I anticipate the release of 'certain' new saws.
Refer - Festool Aus Facebook, July 12.   [smile]

Yes I am also anticipating certain new saws. I just hope the HK85 comes in under the TS75 in price.

Roll on August.  [big grin]

@Untidy Shop @Grakat

I predict the $100 combo vac+tool discount and maybe some cheap classic sortainers .. along with the corded HK's HK85 grooving unit and the SYS D14 connectors.

Anyone else want to play crystal balling [big grin]

I'll also wager the HK85 comes in at 95% of the TS75's price for the saw in a systainer and that they'll offer it bundled with the FSK670 for about a $100 saving on the rail.

(there are just educated guesses - I don't have any inside knowledge)

@Kev @Untidy Shop

They will knock $5 off the Sysrock just for you Kev, or put it in as a deal with the HK85 and the grooving attachment.

I'm going to guess, just because it's TTS the price fixing gurus that the HK85 will be 95% of the TS75, out of the Systainer. It will exceed the TS75 in the systainer, and the grooving kit will blow it out of the world  [big grin]

Maybe a sander in a Sys2 sort 1 systainer, be it an ETS or a Rotex (I would do it, and would buy it if it was the Rotex).

Seperate forecast. HK85 with 420 rail and a systainer.....$1399.00 Lets see how close we can get.

Last guess, $100 off if you buy everything with a CT.

If anybody has a CXS body that want to get rid of drop me a line. I  have the batteries, charger,chucks and systainer but need a replacement body after knocking mine into the water of a marina yesterday, when talking to my supplier today when I went to buy my new PDC 18 they reckon TTS won't sell just the body and I waste enough money on stuff I don't need from festool as it is.
