Hello,
I have a brand new ts 75 with a substantial vibration and loud rumbling sound that for a $600.00 tool, can't possibly be good. I have contacted customer service and am waiting for a response. I'm concerned!

Hi John and welcome to the FOG.  Sorry to read about your concern and possible issues.  Glad to see that you reached out to Festool.  The TS saws do growl and sound different than what I would call "conventional" saws based on their electronics and drivetrain.  Sound questions are pretty normal here.  Vibration questions are not.

Whereas you have a new saw there are options and customer service will no doubt sort it out for you.

Once you get this behind you I would suggest that you put together a collection of blades for your various cutting needs and change them to meet your conditions.  For instance a ripping blade.

Let us know how it works out for you.

Peter

@John Bart Do you notice issues with the cut quality?  As Peter says, and as the video at the top of the thread demonstrates, the TS75 has a distinct sound when cutting that may make it seem like there's a motor issue, but which in fact is just the normal operating noise.

It's a bit more difficult to quantify/compare vibration, but for that the cut quality should be the ultimate judge as to whether there is a problem with the saw.  In my experience, the TS75 does have more vibration than the TS55, but it's part of the normal functioning of the saw, and has no effect on the quality of the cut.

Hi John,

Does the sound /vibration vary directly with the feed rate? Do you notice that it clears up by slowing or increasing the feed rate?
