This is not so much a problem as an inconvenience so apologies if it is in the wrong category.  I just got the tradesman cleaning set today with the 36mm hose.  When i opened the box it seemed someone had scrunched up the hose & stuffed it in & forced the lid shut.  I removed the hose & took the kinks out & straightened the hose.  I put the hose back in by wrapping it around the inside of the systainer but the pressure on the front wall of the systainer was still pushing it out.
Has anyone else had this problem & have they found an easier way to insert the hose.  The hose is very stiff when new so i wondered is there a quick fix to soften it up, like leaving it out in the sun or something.  If so, i could be in trouble as i live in Scotland & sunshine is limited  Sad.
Another thought is to change the hose over with an old 25mm hose which is much more flexible.

Maybee Brice could jump in here as i know he has done a review of this set.

It is a tight fit no matter what.

I have tried to put it back in many different ways in the last year or so, and it is just a tight fit.

Just stuff it in and push the systainer together.

I have had the same experience with putting a 36mm hose in a Systainer.

I've found that if you wind it carefully around the outside but don't try to force it in, you'll be left with a fairly small length that you have to do something with. By carefully arranging how you "stab" that leftover length down in, you can make it pretty nice and neat. I usually end up having to take a couple of tries at where I start the coiling to get it just right - the leftover end needs to be "clocked" just right to want to neatly stab back into the bottom. If I do it often enough, I remember where I should start the coiling and it works every time.

Like others have said, it's a tight fit.

The hoses in the Tradesman cleaning kits I have sold are all wrapped around the perimeter of the Systainer. Someone most likely removed teh hose from your cleaning kit and did not put it back in correctly.

Granted I'm new to the this cleaning set (just got it Friday  Smile), but I think I managed to stumble on a decent way to shove the hose in. Standing in front of the systainer, start by putting the vac side of the hose in the rear left corner with the hose leading to the right. Then, wrap the hose around the perimeter of the systainer...if its like mine you should end up with just enough left at the top so that it fits in without having any extra to poke down anywhere. It will be a tight fit, and it will bow the front of the systainer slightly, but not much. You can easily get the lid shut and latched, and the lid will keep the front from bowing.
