Vacuum Boom Sag

I've had my vacuum boom for 1 week and noticed the sag in the boom. After careful look, I noticed the white nylon swivel piece is bent from the stress. I talked to Woodcraft where I bought it and they said Festool has aluminum replacement part for that and I should call them. So I did call Festool direct. Gentleman on the phone (tech support) says they don't have such aluminum piece and that he hasn't heard of the sag issues with the nylon piece. He also said that if I had problems, I NEEDED to go through Woodcraft, not direct to Festool. He said that if I contact Woodcraft, they could have a replacement nylon part sent to me. But wouldn't that sag too?
So here are my questions:
1) Has anyone else noticed the sag at the nylon piece? If so, did you fix it or left it? I'm thinking it will continue to get worse, but maybe that's a wrong assumption.
2) Is this common with Festool that I have to go through the place of purchase rather than directly with them?
Not trying to start an arguement, I just don't know. This is the first "issue" I've had with all my Festools, I don't know what normal with their process.
Thanks in advance.

Yes - I have noticed sag but never thought much of it. I have had the boom arm since last September. If I were several inches taller it would probably bother me.

I've only had my boom arm a month or so but I noticed a slight sag, just a little off from being parallel with the floor. It hasn't affected how it swings from side to side so I have not worried about it.

I posted a concern about the same problem back in March. I suggest you carefully inspect the nylon piece that fits into the tubes. I actually took mine apart and noticed the piece had split, causing the arm to sag. I had to replace the piece but have been thinking of having an aluminum piece machined. The weight of the boom arm exerting on that nylon piece has me concerned. I dont want to have it fracture and fall.

Mine started down this path shortly after I first got it. Spoke with Bob, then an independent Festool rep -- there was word about an aluminum replacement... Well, as I recall the word was that there were three parts (or so) that someone had made and that Festool would be making them soon. So, I have been waiting... For now I have been removing the Boom Arm when not in use. Hope the situation changes in the near future.
