Getting a Kapex this week, and read that the dust collection is much better with the 36mm hose than the 27mm. Also saw it being used with a Midi, I thought in the same review. The specs for the 36mm hose don't list it as being applicable for the Midi and Mini, so I figured I'd ask here if it's possible to use the 36mm hose with the Midi.

The hose on the Midi is attached to the unit through an angled connector.
Simply wiggle it back and forth while applying an upward pull, it will come out.
(get a grip of the connector - not the green hose)
It might not seem as if it will at first, but it will.
Then simply wiggle in the wider end of the 36 hose.

Whenever I'm using the Midi with an SCMS, a 2200 router or the TS75 I'm using the 36 hose.

cheers.

Hey there.

Just got my new Kapex today, and at the same time I stumbled upon this great site and this thread.

Just to make sure, that I understand correctly - the angled connector is NOT to be removed, right? It's just the hose?

Thanks :-)

I'm not sure Ken's response to your question was clear.  The angled connector (with hose attached) comes out.  It can be a little difficult to pull the angled piece free from the extractor but it will come out.
