In reality if truth be told, there are plenty of us here on this side of the pond that would love the CMS.
I know that if and when it becomes available here I will make the move quickly to obtain the setup and
this will allow me the luxury of doing away with a table saw setup that takes up more room than I really can afford.

Plenty of us.  P-L-E-N-T-Y.

I'd love the CMS for site use.  I'd be able to ditch my little DeWalt saw and also have a handy router table set up on site if needed.  I usually have my 55 or 75 (often both) with me anyway, and this would give those tools even more utility.  It won't replace anything in the shop, but man it'd be nice to have for site use.

I have requested comments from installers that use the CMS system in Europe and they outlined the net benefits of this system, yet most prefer the Precisio when it comes to table saw duty.  But when taking everything into consideration,(transport, alternate tool uses) they really recommend this system even though you have to part with a considerable amount of cash to acquire it and its nifty accessories.  I definitely would be purchasing it when and if it ever becomes available in NA.

As a Festool dealer in Canada I can't begin to tell you how important the CMS is to 'completing the system" of a complete dust free, compact, portable shop.

I have spent quite a bit of time in Europe and have seen the CMS system up close and as a user and retailer I do see the value in the system and suspect it or some of it will some day be available in North America!!! However, I do suspect it will be fairly expensive so save your pennies or in Canada (your loonies)!!!!

I think it's been established that the reason the CMS isn't available stateside is NOT because Festool USA don't want to bring it in, or somehow 'can't be bothered'.

It's not down to Festool USA, it's down to UL, and *possibly* Festool Germany to look at re-engineering some aspects of it to meet UL approval.

Festool engineers seem to take their time with everything to make sure it's right. UL seem to take their time, for no particular reason. The combination of both together may well explain the geological speed with which the CMS is crossing the Atlantic...

Wish list (in no particular order!): Anything not listed above....

It was the switch that was the problem.

I looked all over the NEW Rotex 90 and could not find the UL approval logo. There were some other logos, maybe they are different approval body, and fill the same function. [huh]
