Acme Tools indicates they can still get them but outside of that I have not been able to find them in the U.S.

I wouldn't put too much faith in that ACME tools page.  Members starting asking about the unavailability / discontinuation of the Twin box here in North America back in 2017 here.  You can certainly use the search function to verify.

I called up the local ACME store because I've been thinking about picking up an extra one. He said there are none in their system.  [sad]

However, here is an enterprising lad on eBay that's selling them...shipping NOT included.

What's the appeal of the storage box btw?  I have one that came with my installers set, but I hardly ever take it out, since the on board bit storage spread across my Festool drills usually covers my needs.

I found it to be a cheap way to buy several Festool bits at once.  Honestly I always thought of it as a promotional item.

Don't you guys have the: "Festool MINI-SYSTAINER T-LOC SYS-CE MINI 1 TL TRA – 203817" ? Apparently a limited edition, but still available I think. Well at least on this side of the pond  [embarassed]

Awesome box (EU in the right place EUR 75 ~ 85 USD) !

Here is a link to Amazon in Germany. You can get this with shipping to the US for around $30.

The link posted weird. You have to highlight it and copy and paste it into your browser to make it work.

That's an interesting approach...I may have to try it.  [smile]

I also have an installers set but it stays parked 80% of the time. For doing something outside or in another room, I grab a drill and the TwinBox. It's probably just force of habit at this stage.

I got to tell you though, there's this weird gremlin-like phenomenon that never fails to happen after a certain period of  time switching out and over bits between drills, that eventually one drill will end up with like 4 T25 bits, or 4 PH2 bits in the on-board storage.  Kind of like the law in effect after you do laundry where you are guaranteed to find each individual sock before you come across a matching pair.

For me the Twin Box is key, but the bits they come with were re-stored in a magnetic bit holder. With a little modification to the belt loop part, which consists of flaring it so it clips on easier, the bit holder functions very well with longer bits. They are my go to and I keep them in different tool boxes, one on the tool belt and one on the tool vest. For me the most used bits are a flat blade screwdriver, a #2 Phillips, #20 Torx, and a #15 Torx. With one spot left open I can switch bits very quickly and not loose them by setting them down in a dark corner.
