Festool Connect Coming to Canada
« on: March 30, 2018, 07:23 PM »
I came across this and thought that I would alert our Canadian Members.  I am sure that Festool will be posting something in the area designated for their announcements but thought until then...

Seems to be an outdoor event, aren't they normally in a conference type area?   Would there be presentations etc. ?
Is there any advantage of this over the travelling Festool Roadshop Lee Valley is promoting?

They are calling this Festool Connect but based on the description in the link above it sounds like the Roadshow that I attended in Texas. They have an 18 wheeler that has side bump outs like a fancy RV that creates a large open area in the middle where they set up six or eight display areas which are manned by Festool’s people. They demonstrate many of their tools. They don’t let you use most of the tools but they do provide very thorough comparisons, demos, answer questions, etc.. There was a European woman,(German I think) at the one I attended and she was a wealth of knowledge. She was the one they all went to when they had questions. It was crowded so you had to be a little patient to work your way up to be the one asking the questions but once you did it was very good. They also had a large area towards the back of the trailer where they had a systainer pantry to rival them all. Pretty much every tool and accessory that you could ask for.
