Well here we go again!

Pre Ordering for the FOG edition baseball cap is now open.  You can order yours by posting in this thread until 6:00 PM Eastern time on Sunday, October 9, 2011.  Yes I know that is a change from the previously announced time, but due to the fact I fell asleep on the couch  Eek! and the time difference for our international members, it was only fair.

For those who participated in the Fogtainer Group Buy, this will sound too familiar, but here goes:

What is a FOGcap?  It is a navy blue brushed cotton baseball cap shamelessly embroidered with the the FOG logo on the front, the web address of the FOG on the back, and 2011 Edition on the velcro closure on the rear.  The front will look approximately like this:

The brim is pre-formed to the shape you see in the image.  It is advertised as a "one size fits all" but really is a "one size fits many".

What is the cost?  The cost excluding shipping is $16.00 US.  Like last time, payments may be made thru PayPal.

When do I have to pay?  Members will be contacted via PM and subsequently invoiced soon after they post in this thread for the cost of the caps ordered.
What about shipping costs?  Shipping costs are not included and will be invoiced prior to shipping.  Shipping will be via US Priority Mail or US Priority International Mail.  Insurance will be included.  Due to the minimum shipping weight of 1 lb, members SHOULD be able to get up to 3 caps shipped for the same shipping costs as 1 cap.  I use the word should because the weight for 3 in the box with only a thin plastic bag and a label is within .50 oz of being 1 lb.

So the moral to the story is:  BUY IN GROUPS OF TWO or THREE and save money on shipping.

What about shipping outside the US?  It can be done, but expect that the costs will exceed the cost of the cap.  For example, the cost to ship 1 cap to Germany is approximately $30 US.  Finland - the same.  This is where you can save money by buying in multiples.  If you live in the UK, I have a member who has offered to handle distribution there for me.  Let me know if you are interested.

When should I expect delivery?  December 2011.  Hopefully early December.  Once I place the order everything is out of my hands until the product reaches my living room.  (Here we go again!)  Manufacturing is done overseas.  The vendor is top notch.

So let's go have fun, get some caps!

Peter

I'm interested in one cap, preferably cheapest postal shipping to Toronto, Canada. If any other Toronto area woodworkers want to go in on this collectively to save on shipping costs, let me know.

Thanks

DF 500 Q, HL850E-Plus, CT22, 5 systainers and several accessories. I'm just a rank Festool beginner, but I'm trying hard. Smiley Oh yeah, now that I own a FOG hat 2011 edition, I guess I'm not such a beginner anymore.

Hi Peter, I'll take 3.
Sure am unhappy to hear manufacturing is overseas. Would prefer it if the cap was US made and cost more. Unfortunately I realize buying US can be difficult these days. I'll stop before I go on a rant.
Thanks, Markus
