The support from this forum with this project has been beyond belief.  As I sit here typing I consider myself so darn lucky to be involved with the guys and gals here - spammers excluded!

If you are the Mr. Ray that I think you are - we spoke on the phone about a decade ago when I searched down your home phone number to let you know that your 800 number was down and buyers couldn't place orders - at about nine at night.

A few things popped into my head last night. Don't ask why, the brain works in weird ways.
To Shane: When the Fogtainers arrive are you going to take one Sys out of the Sys wall and replace it with a Fogtainer?
To Peter or someone else:
How about a Festool calendar? Timing might work out perfect for 2012
- The cover page or one month could be a pic of the Sys wall in Lebanon
- The back cover or another month could be a side by side metric / inch conversion table
- The other 10 months could be pics of Festools doing unique or bizarre things. Such as an MFT3 with all the coolest attachments, a TS set-up on that monster rail down in Lebanon, a T15 driving the biggest Spax around into a 6x6, a Domino next to a piece of walnut that has Domino's inserted to spell out FOG, a whacked out Kapex set-up, a guys custom Systainer truck storage system, etc.
- We could have a contest. People would upload photo's of their Festool doing things mentioned and we could have a vote for which pics to put in the calendar.
- Festool USA or proceeds from calendar sales could sponsor prizes for those who's pics are put into the calendar. Doesn't have to be anything fancy or expensive. A shirt, hat, tape measure, something like that. It would only be 10 or 11 items so the cost should not be a hardship.
- Timing could work out really well to have these ready to go for Xmas 2011. Great gift idea and a fun project for the year.
Another thought for a project: Growing up lumber yards always gave out nail pouches / aprons. You probably know the kind, cotton canvas, two large pouches in the front and a small slit pouch in the middle for a pencil, ties around your waist. Working jobsites one side would be filled with 16p nails, the other with 8's or 10's. I bought one a few years ago at a big box. The thing sucked. Material was too thin. Nails and especially screws would poke through the material and nick my hands. I really miss having a good nail pouch.

I think that the calendar is a cool idea.  I have just started playing with new publishing software and have been helping my wife with her books and book covers.  She recently published a magazine that was a print on demand.  She had already mentioned calendars as a possibility thru them.  The author determines the price and any proceeds beyond the printing costs are automatically deposited into the authors account.

I was looking into the possibility of a FOG work apron as had been suggested in another thread here a while back.  Located custom sewers in the US is difficult.  I found a maker of work aprons who does custom work, but at 2000 aprons minimum that possibility went away for now.

Keep ideas coming!

The website is rubbish on Vistaprint! I got my business card from der and my girlfriends got some cards from that site!   Its not cheap at all.  Its normal priced.   Its all extras and the prices change by the minute.  Really strange.  You can go on and it will say you havd 60% discount you then come on later it will only offer you 30%  it has all these special offers but when you get to paying section it changes or you have some other kind of discount but you lost your discount on something else.   It crap really.  Der was a speciall offer going where you get a free calendar with some cards. You can save your project on the website and come back later to alter or add something before you pay and when come to pay it was charging £3 for the calendar with 60% off I was like thats not FREE!  Then come back on and its free but its added the £3 on the cards as it was the same price.   Any way it takes about 2/3 weeks for delivery well thats how long it took for my business cards and my girlfriends cards and calendar.  I think mine took longer as I can remember it was almost a year ago.

My last order was for 500 custom business cards with my logo and design, blank back and matte finish. They cost $13.14, delivered. It took about a week. I thought it came from Canada, which was a surprise. I thought that was a pretty good deal, but I'm comparing it to local printing that I've seen.

You're right, JMB. They do play games on their website. I just ignore the games and go straight for what I want. It's kind of like going to a store where they have people in stations with samples all over trying to entice you to buy something you had no intention of buying. It doesn't work on me - I just eat or drink the sample and go on to what I came to get.
