Yes they are rubish not changed for many months  as far as I can see.. So much for the 20% discount that was being bandied around some months back

I recently ordered a TS55-R and an RO90 from Toolfest. Great service. I also ordered some abrasives & other accessories a week or so later.

As for prices, toolfest's prices online were around the same as everywhere else, but if not try ringing or e-mailing Warren (or even PMing him if you want, he's a member on here) & I'm sure he'd match or better anyone else's prices.

Warren is a nice bloke and good service but as for prices goes before all this happened with festool he didn't budge with prices even over the phone I tried few times that's why I don't buy a lot of stuff from him.   I have the protool chain Mortiser I went to warren first called up few times showed interest and asked if he do me a good deal but he wouldn't move from he website price only offer some chain oil.    I went some where else and got it £300 cheaper. Big difference big upmarket on protool hey

Well I can't understand companies that still quote full list price and won't budge when it comes to a bit of discount.
We all know they've got to earn a living like the rest of us.
We're not asking them to cut there throats. Better to lose a couple of quid and gain a new customer that will return in the future, than to dig their heals in and come across as arrogant and aloof (not aiming that at anyone in particular, especially Warren as I've never met him or spoken to him, charming bloke I'm sure).
They spend thousands on an Internet presence to get you to pick up the phone and then throw it all away over a couple of pounds discount?

I can only speak for myself but the next time I'm in the market for another tool I don't phone the bloke that kept saying no, I'd  phone the bloke that gave me a few quid off the last time.

That's the beauty of the Internet, you can scour the country or world for prices over a cup of tea and a chocky hobnob.
Most retailers price match nowadays, the ones that don't are shooting themselves in the foot in my opinion.
A local tool shop to me was notorious for their high prices and unwillingness to give a discount. They now have been forced to turn the majority of their premises over to storage and trade mainly on EBay. I was speaking to the guys that work there and they said if they hadn't changed the way they trade (and their ways literally) they wouldn't be around today!!!

What I'm trying to say is companies that refuse to move with the times won't stand the test of time.

I phoned Warren for a Syslight.  Not looking for a deal, I just wanted it.  He asked how much I had seen it for so he could price match & I told him I didn't bother looking (bought stuff from him before, really good service).  He went straight on the Internet & checked the prices of the "usual suspects" & eventually reduced the price of his light by £25.

I never asked him to do that but it was appreciated & I have bought from him since & will be buying from him again.  Not exactly local to me but he is a really nice guy to deal with & usually has everything in stock.

When the bigger t-loc hits the market I'm sure we'll see plenty
of discounted systainers. The bigger size makes a lot more sense
to me.

PA Floor Guy, Not so long ago a court rules that the parent company of Festool could not set retail prices in the UK. As a result, only in the UK, dealers set their own retail price.

As far as we belong to The FOG know, in all other countries the importer has contracts with dealers requiring all to use the same retail price within that country. In our case, Festool USA is both a division of Festool, they are the importer for both Canada and the USA. Consequently all USA dealers sign a franchise contract requiring them to sell at the USA prices. There is a different price list for Canada, but all Canadian dealers sign a similar franchise contract. Mind you, the Festool USA price list is a minimum. Where shipping costs from Lebanon, IN to the dealers are higher, then the dealers in such places charge more. Hawai'i is an example.
