Hey guys, just got my Tenryu Blades for the kapex,  After getting home i have opened the blades and to my surprise the "kapex blades" or as refered to were the standard blades you can pick up at your local supplier with a re-bored arbor, with metal shavings still in the package!!!! very very un-cool, as i could have gotten these blades 60 bucks cheaper, on the spot and had them rebored in 2 days my self vs. waiting an extra 2 weeks.

these are the blades i have ordered;

Tenryu SL-25572F Silencer-Series 10" X 72T Blade for Kapex Miter Saw

Tenryu MP-25580ABF Miter-Pro Plus 10" x 80T Blade for Kapex Miter Saw

I would test these blades and write a review but i have already used these blades on previous saws and have not found any other blade to match the quality of the silencer along with it's cost, if you buy this 10" blade without the "kapex" in the title it will cost you 60 bucks + 10 or 15 for re-boring to fit the Kapex vs. 90-95 for the "kapex" version.

The Miter-pro plus is slightly more expensive as it's almost 140$ for the "kapex" version (110$-120$ for standard) but the the longevity of the blade is superb, i had one of these blades on my 12" dewalt chop box and after months of heavy use it's super sharp and still cuts like butter.

I guess my dissapointment is that it looks like my store just sent these to the sharpening guy, which wouldn't be the worst thing but if i'm going to pay for a specific type of blade, the least you can do is make sure the shavings are not in the packaging!!! making the blade look like a DIY project.

The European style tenryu I just got was a 255mm blade with alternate tooth, alternate face grind with a raker.

I still have to get to some 3/8" poplar bead board this week, I am looking forward to using it.

I have cut a bunch of 5/4 ash with my matsushita and am glad to have her back.

I bought the Tenryu MP-25580ABF Miter-Pro Plus 10" x 80T Blade for Kapex Miter Saw as well. It was shipped direct to me from Tenryu andthe box contained no metal shavings.
