Mystery Items or - what the bloody heck is it?!
« on: April 02, 2019, 01:23 PM »
Hello all,
My boss asked me to clear out a couple of cupboards in the workshop today, with the bulk of it being his collection of dead routers.
However, at the back of the cupboard I found the items pictured. He hasn't got a foggy what they're from/off/for and nor have I. He did tell me I can have them if they're of any use however, so anyone able to enlighten me as to what they might be?

Thanks,
Tim

The top items with the green handles are the sliding back lumber supports off of a Kapex.
The items with the black knobs I don't know. Someone will though. They don't look like anything off of a Kapex or MFT. Maybe off of an older MFT 800 or extension. Someone who knows will probably answer soon enough.

I knew the mighty FOG Users would provide me with the answer! Thank you both.

Neither items of any use to me though sadly, unless I pinch his belt-sander.. Should have recognised the Kapex "wings" from my own Kapex!

I’d keep the Kapex wings as accidents do happen.

Also, you could mount a Zero clearance insert to the old wings and swap wings out if you need more depth.

@Timbah I'd cover shipping costs if you were inclined to pass along the sander feet.

Thanks,

RMW
As of 10/17 I am out of the Dog business and pursuing other distractions. Thanks for a fun ride!

I suspect now we've identified them, my boss will want to hang onto them!
