rough cut, and shredded the splinter strip as well as not the same kerf as 48 tooth blade that comes with ts55

I just bought the Tenyru 12T rip for my TS55.  Used it yesterday for the first time.  Kerf on it is .087" while the kerf on the 48T that came with the TS55 is 2.2mm (~.0866) I called that a wash.  The cut quality was second to none, though I don't have a panther to compare to...

There have been two versions of the Panther blade.  The original had a wider kerf.  The now available one has the same kerf.  I bought my Tenyru back when the Panther kerf was wider.

I just slapped my new Tenryu 12T on the TS55 today, and ripped for the first time in a piece of pond dry doug fir and HOLY CRAP what a difference!

They're available in various places, you're looking for the Tenryu PSW-16012CBD2.

Put the 28T Universal Festool blade to shame speed-wise, and I think it is the (cost friendly) solution to actually being able to make rips with a TS55.

What I can't speak to yet is longevity, time will tell...

I don't know anything about Tenryu, but I got a Panther blade for ripping and what difference it made - like a knife through butter.  And it is sufficiently good that I use it for most sheet materials too.  Same kerf as standard blade and no problem with the rail or splinter guard.

Mine was $0.00, well not really. I used my Amazon points to pay for it.
