Been a while since i have updated my Festool purchases on here. In the past few months I have acquired another MFT3 table set, the CMS GE router table set, an OF 2200, 1010 and the MFK 700 set. Also a 700 domino, both systainer sets and the set systainer of connectors, an installers set, a Pro 5, the Plexiglass Template guide and the vac sys set. So I'm really liking this festool gear. Just need a couple drills now. Looking at the txs to start.

Had to order the 75" guide rail. Most of the good quality Baltic Birch Plywood I get comes in 5' x 5' sheets. joining rails to cut that was just too annoying. The 75" fits it perfectly.

The Minis are awesome! I find more uses for them than I do the full sized Systainers. I cant wait to get one of the new Mini 3s!

Kapex 120 and UG cart delivered today. I got the 110V UK spec. Might be taking a chance, with the reports on the FOG about faulty motors, but I am set up for site work and have to use 110V or battery, as in the UK.
First impressions, dialled in out of the box, lighter than I expected, so easy to set up with extensions. I am using it with a MIDI and 27mm hose. A shorter 36mm hose, as suggested by many, is next on the list.
I am starting to trim out/second fix a new house next week. I will post how I get on with it then.

Picked up another dust extractor today. CT36. also went with the boom arm set. Got everything set up this afternoon and broke down some sheet goods for some cabinets I'm building. Really like the boom arm setup so far.

One of these and 2 sets of drawer boxes for it. Now I just need to find the time to transfer all my screws and fasteners into it.

@Kev
The CT48's that can be emptied are unfortunately NAINA, so everytime I fill one up I have to buy another one. I've been thinking about importing one that can be emptied, but I shouldn't talk about that on the FOG.  [oops]

Taking advantage of the free battery offer. Still a month to go so may be tempted by a 18v Carvex and a BHC  ;)

I need to be more careful and actually read the full description for the accessories. The other month I bought a hose hook (452998) only to find out it is for the older vacs. Today I received the one-piece aluminum extension tube (447599). I just assumed that it would work with the 36mm hoses, instead it is for the 50mm hose. That's $144 down the tube.  [doh]

Vecturo set today. I don't know why I got it specifically, but it was my birthday on Thursday so I figured, why not?  I'm sure I will find tons of household kinds of things to use it on.  I can throw away my hacksaw, for sure.

. . . . . .

The salesman who sold me these tools wasnt exactly a festool nut he implied that festool was overpriced.

It always surprises me when one reads this, or indeed overhears it in person, from salespersons not only of Festool but other quality tools. Do not these salespersons realise that a professionally conducted sale, and not raising undue doubts in the customers mind, is paying their wages?!

Having recently started using Festool and purchased 8 Festool power tools in the last 3 months, I have found the standard of salesmanship vastly different between stores. Excellent, passionate well informed service from some and complete and utter Festool disinterest from others. The one UK store closest to me clearly wishes to push other brands over festool, they have a stand shoehorned into the corner and the sales guys demonstrate little brand knowledge. I think to and extent it could be down to profit margins on brands I still use the store but only to visit and handle the tools before purchasing online at a better price and with better service even remotely over the internet.

Picked up a Rotex 125 today. Now I have the trifecta of Rotex sanders. I think the size is perfect for sanding some chair seats. Feels comfortable in hand and plenty of power. A nice compliment to the 90 and 150 and my other sanders. I really like it so far and it is a perfect balance of size, speed and power for my needs.

it makes me womder if they choose to push the brands in which the store gets a higher mark up opposed to the most suitible/best tool for the job.

Refinishing some stairs next week which made it the perfect excuse to pick up some mobile tools. I have a CT36 but it's dedicated to the shop and my CNC.

Wound up getting a CT MIDI, RO90 (to complement the RO150 and have a Delta head), and the wrapped Festool hose to ensure I don't mark up the stairs before finishing. So far impressed with each one, the RO90 is a great size and weight for working on smaller stuff. The MIDI is just much more portable and perfect for onsite stuff. These guys and gals at Festool know what they are doing.

Well, I finally joined the club today (though I don't have the product in hand). I picked up a TS55REQ, CT Midi, Domino 500, and the 6 and 8 mm cutter along with 5mm, 6mm and 8mm tenons.  These will be my first Festool products, and I'm beyond excited!

I did as well. After getting the Pro5 I saw how good festool is. Got the TS55 REQ, CT36, MFT/3, Domino 500, and a bunch of accessories in the last month. Used them all and am not sorry. The Domino and MFT/3 together is awesome.

First post from a reasonably recent convert. I just got the Panther blade for my TS55. The difference in performance was staggering. It will probably be my standard blade in the saw for a while.
