Same here.  Even thought I would like a systainer Radio and charging station  and/or a all in one I dont think people will buy many  because thats whats so good about systainers people can easily do it them selfs. You can easily take a cheap radio apart and screw it into a systainer and do the same with a charger fix it in a systainer.  but you can not easily make a thicknesser or sander into a systainer though!

I keep thinking of a systainer saw.    You turn the systainer on its side and ipen the lide which locks up giving more bench support and you then wind the blade up which comes out through a slot in the systainer and you got your self a mini portable bench saw.

My Brother has a custom metal fabrication shop he makes mostly medical equipment, my father is good at inventing what ever he needs. I grew up on a farm and if you wanted something you had to build it.

Awesome mock-up.  What I'd like to see in a planer from Festool is one that sits on the kapex MFT, and has in/outfeed that connect to adjacent MFTs to provide a nice 4' in/outfeed so you could get awesome results with no (ok, little) snipe worries.  305mm (12" and small change) would be brilliant, and small enough to not require it to weigh 100+ lbs.  You guys could make a sander just like mentioned earlier as well...

Here's an idea:

Could you flip it upside down, move the tables to the other side, and use it as a jointer?


Any takers on getting Festool to actually pull this off?
