Domino support bracket

I'd like to see Festool make a machined aluminum replacement for the plastic support bracket, a little longer with a knob would be even better. I'd buy one as an accessory.

I agree the support bracket leaves a little to be desired. (bolts on the bottom of the domino)
Machining a new one out of a block of aluminum wouldn't be difficult but would entail a lot of waste. How about starting with a short piece of 4" aluminum angle iron? With just a few holes you should be in business. Or do you think using MDF would be a viable option? 2 pieces with appropriate bracing might work. It would be a little heavy but might actually help balance everything when it is in use.

Thanks John, I found an online dealer that will sell aluminum angle by the foot. I'm going to buy a foot of 4x4x1/4" angle and give it a try. If it works I won't be trying to balance the Domino ontop the edge of a piece of plywood but will lay the panel flat and plunge vertically. A 4" angle will also give me room to put some sort of knob on it.
